Claremont at a glance

Cape Town with Table Mountain as it's centrefold and flanked by the Ocean on 3 sides must surely be one of the most beautiful cities and most desirable places in the world to own real estate.

Claremont Lynfrae is in the centre of the Southern Suburbs. It is a quiet leafy suburb with easy access to most highways and a mere 10 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. The Lynfrae borders are between Keurboom Road, Palmyra Road, Belvedere and Queen Victoria Roads. Claremont has long been one of the most popular residential areas in the Southern Suburbs.

The area is family orientated ranging from large family homes on large grounds to slightly more compact homes for the smaller starter family or the young single professional on the outskirts of the area. The character of many of the homes is reflected in the high ceilings, wooden floors and fireplaces.

A major advantage to living in Lynfrae is the fact that it is in the catchment area of top Cape Town private and government schools. There are many playschools and preschools in the area that are all feeders to these local schools.

Claremont Lynfrae offers two local shopping villages/centres, the original being Belvedere Square with a Woolworths Food and Coffee Shop, Pet Store, Book Shop plus other small convenience stores. The new Palmyra Junction has a much larger Woolworths Food Store, Vidae Coffee, Gift Shop and the trendy Knead Coffee Shop and Bakery. The adjacent Claremont station has recently been upgraded bringing growth and development to the Claremont area as a whole. Claremont CBD and the award-winning shopping mall, Cavendish Square, which boasts more than two hundred of the most elite stores in the country, are also in close proximity.

Claremont Lynfrae also borders the well-known sporting hub of Newlands. It is within easy walking distance of the Newlands Cricket and Rugby Grounds and Western Province Cricket Club as well as Kelvin Grove.

Keurboom Park which borders Rondebosch Boys' High School, offers the perfect opportunity to unwind after a long days' work - it is a popular meeting place of avid dog walkers, as well as the daily joggers.

Top medical facilities - Claremont Hospital and Kingsbury Hospital - are within easy reach, as is the well-known Red Cross Children's Hospital.
