Covid-19 - How we will be operating | The business of selling houses goes on

Category News

As with everyone else, we find ourselves in uncharted territory with the onset of the Covid-19 health emergency which, as you may know has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization and a national disaster by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

We share your concerns and will be playing our part in keeping ourselves and people around us safe in terms of taking health and safety precautions and limiting contact.

As we realise that many clients have urgent property needs and livelihoods are at stake, we will continue operating at full capacity making use of our advanced technological solutions and online systems to ensure we remain as efficient as possible under the circumstances while practising the necessary safety measures.

There is no need to suspend your property needs or decisions or to cancel any mandates. We aim to mitigate some of the challenges through our current digital readiness and are available 24/7 via phone, e-mail, Skype, WhatsApp, Facetime and Google Hangouts.

Our advanced technology means that it is easier than ever to remain in contact and to view and gain information about properties online. Our listings carry detailed descriptions with a series of photographs, and we can provide additional measures such as video tours in many instances, thus enabling buyers to view property from the safety of their own home. Viewings could also continue subject to strict safety protocols noted below.

We have adopted vital operational and health and safety measures such as:

  • Practising personal health and safety including making use of sanitizers and limiting contact personal contact, face-to-face meetings and all non-essential travel including air-travel.
  • Refraining from personal contact with anyone who has entered or re-entered the country for a 14-day period.
  • Refraining from contact with staff or clients with any cold- or flu symptoms until necessary medical steps are taken.
  • We will request any client visiting a property, whether for a viewing or show house, to make use of sanitizing products before entering the property and to refrain from touching anything in the property while observing all safety protocols during the visit including keeping the recommended one-metre distance at all times.

As we continue monitoring the evolving situation, we remain committed to providing any assistance that you may need.
