As we continue to navigate the challenges of the Covid-19 Health Pandemic, the great news that real estate is back in business under Level 3. Deeds offices, municipalities, conveyancers, mortgage originators and the banks are operational and buyers and investors can finally view properties.
While the way in which estate agents operate has had to change in view of the pandemic, real estate transactions are now moving forward and registration of transfers coming through. This is great news for buyers, investors and sellers who are keen to take advantage of the opportunities in the market including the historically low interest rate and continued favourable mortgage lending climate. The response has been outstanding.
In view of the Covid-19 Health Pandemic, Seeff has adapted the way we operate and work with strict Covid-19 Health Protocols aimed at keeping clients safe, including social distancing, face masks and constant sanitising which are now part of our everyday lives.
Viewing properties from the safety of your home
During these unprecedented times, we are here to look after your property needs, but with the utmost safety precautions. Seeff's advanced technology and systems enable you to view thousands of property listings without leaving the safety of your home. We are able to interact via Facetime, WhatsApp, Zoom and Google Hangout and can provide any additional information that you may need.
Physical viewing of properties
While no show houses are permitted, physical viewings are possible. These are by appointment only and with strict measures in place. Only two clients may be in a property at once and no children are permitted. Clients must use their own transport and may not travel with the agent.
Seeff's protocols will be disclosed to clients prior to the viewing. The inhabitants must be out of the property during the viewing.
Hands must be sanitised before and after viewing, and face masks worn at all times. Physical distancing of at least 1.5 metres apply and there may be no physical touching. There may be no touching of items in the home and no use of any bathroom facilities. Seeff agents with gloves are the only persons permitted to touch surfaces, cupboards, doors etc.
Listing your property
It is a great time to list your property and take advantage of the selling opportunities. Under the Lockdown, Seeff put advanced technology to use and we continue making use of these and supplementing with a physical visit where necessary, but under the same strict health protocols as noted above. The same applies to photographing property.
